Tricia Tan started her dance training at age 6, in Singapore. She moved to Australia at age 10. Graduating with honours plus in Gold bar jazz. Tricia not only studied ATOD syllabus, but also participated FATD and RAD as well.
From a very young age Tricia has always been outgoing, enthusiastic and creative. She knew she wanted to share her love for dance with everyone else, be it on stage or in a class room. Her interest in working with kids not only developed at age 16 when she started teaching at her home town dance school, Tamworth City Dance Academy, but also in high school where she studied early childcare and assisted with special ed children at her former primary school. However, from the minute she taught her first plié, she could not imagine doing anything else.
Tricia’s dance background includes jazz, tap, modern, ballet, hip hop, latin and belly dance. Because of the wide range of dance experience she moved on to attend village performing arts school in Sydney, a one year intensive training course focusing on dance, acting and singing. She graduated with a cert IV in performing arts in 2012. Since coming back home to Singapore she has been continuing her passion as a dance instructor and also branched out to fitness.
